We’ll soon be announcing additional dates that coincide with our shows supporting Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on their European Tour. This will hopefully give people a chance to see the band in a more intimate setting – and subscribers to wearefolks.com will be the first to know.

We’re back in our rehearsal room preparing for our show with We Are Augustines and Admiral Fallow on 020211 at The Borderline in London. This event is already sold out but hopefully, more tickets will be made available closer to the date. Following this, on 040211, we play with The Virgin Marys in West Yorkshire and tickets are available here. We’ve also been spending sometime in the studio working with Ruadhri Cushnan. You can read a great article on Ruadhri from Sound On Sound here. We’ll let you hear the results of the sessions as soon as we can. Luis De Benito on Spanish National Radio has been playing tracks from our album ‘I See Cathedrals’ on his radio show ‘Islas De Robinson’ and you can stream his show here. The legendary John Robb at Louder Than War has also included us in his 50 New Bands for 2012 – Folks are #8. John describes the band as ‘A crafted Mancunian guitar band with uber Beatle melodies and classic songs’ which to us, is quite an accolade. You can read the full article here.
